Organic agriculture uses methods to ensure the farm sustainability which are based on natural processes and products that eliminate the use of external factors such as chemical and synthetic products.

Organic agriculture, therefore, contributes to the following objectives:

  • providing high quality food, reducing ingestion of poisonous elements and/or synthetic derivatives.

  • reducing the agricultural system's environmental impact.

  • building, as much as possible, a 'closed system' with particular attention to the reuse of organic substances and nutritive elements.

  • valuing microorganism' s beneficial effects, soil's flora and fauna and advantageous plant and animal systems.

  • maintaining the agricultural system and surrounding environment's genetic diversity.

  • using agricultural elements specifically for transformation methods, keeping organic integrity and essential product quality in all the various steps.
